July 2026 - Algiers Point (New Orleans)

We loved looking after Buddy the minature Schnauzer and his cat siblings Freddy and Fifi in Algiers Point. We really enjoyed taking him on his twice daily walks around the neighbourhood and surrounding Levee. Buddy is such a sweet and lovable little fella and we'd be more than happy to look after him and his siblings any time.

Pet parent review.

We could not have asked for better pet/house sitters than Merryn and Ray. They stayed in our home while we were away on family vacation and they took amazing care of our 9 month old puppy and two catIt gave us so much peace of mind knowing our fur babies were loved and well cared for. Merryn and Ry updated us with photo's of walks, playtime and cuddles , which made being away so much easier. When we retrurned home our house was absolutely pristine and our pets were happy, relaxed and cleanrly adored.

If you're lookking for trustworthy, kind and genuinely wonderful people to care for your home and pets, I cannot recommnend Merryn and Ray highly enough. They are truly two beautiful soles and we will absolutely be using them again.

May 2026 (Ocean Grove Victoria)

We just finished our third pet sit looking after sweet Teddy the fluffy white Cavachon in an over 55's resort in Ocean Grove. We took Teddy with us everywhere including dog friendly local beaches and wineries. We loved spending time with Teddy who is such a sweet well behaved and very friendly little doggy who loved his twice daily walks, play time and cuddles. We've also been rebooked for our third pet in May with Teddy.

Merryn and Ray came to my home in Ocean Grove. Victoria to look after my 3 year old cavechon Teddy .
Well, he had the best time going to the beach, the local wineries and big long walks. He had never had it so good. He was so loved and spoilt. Merryn sent me photos of his outings and sitting with them in my home!
I didn’t have to worry about Teddy while I was out of the country as I knew he was being so well looked after.

May 2026

We had a wonderful time looking after Dougie and taking him for long walks around the Morninton peninsula. He is such a friendly dog who loves a cuddle and campanionship. Trevor and Kay have a lovely and very comfortable house and we'd be more than happy to look after Dougie anytime.

The best pet/house sitters we have had. Our loveable Cavoodle Dougie prefers to stay at home when we go away. We recently had Merryn and Ray care for Dougie and I can’t speak highly enough of the the care and attention Dougie received and wonderful communication, complete with photos, we received to keep us informed and relaxed. When we returned home Dougie was very happy and calm and our home was just as we left it. We felt Dougie was loved as well as cared for. Would love to have Merryn and Ray care for Dougie again and would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone wanting the very best care for their pets and property.

March 2026 (Malvern Victoria)

This was our 6th pet sit looking after Axle the adorable black Labrador retriever and Freddy the chatterbox Tabby in the leafy green suburb of Malvern. We absolutely love spending time with these two. As you can see they love helping Ray in the kitchen. We're delighted to be asked if we want pet sit again early 2027.

28th February - 6th March (Murrembenna)

We had the pleasure of looking after 1 year old Cocker Spaniel called Douglas. He was sweet and loving and a pleasure to spend time with. We took Dougie for twice daily walks to the local park which he really enjoyed, particularly if he saw a bird or two.

19th July - 30th September 2025 (New Orleans)

We really enjoyed spending quality time with these two gorgeous creatures in Algiers Point on the West Bank and we're so pleased to be invited back for three months in 2026. Belle is a beautiful dog and she loved her daily walks exploring the colourful streets of Algiers Point with her big long legs. She is such a sweet dog and easy to look after. Delta is an indoor cat and was a little timid with us at the beginning but it didn't take long for her playful personality to shine. Ginger and Keith's house is in a great location and we felt like we were living in an art gallery with Gingers artwork on display. We're very much looking forward to returning July 2026.

We know that Merryn and Ray genuinely cared for our pets. They sent regular photo updates and looked after Belle with regular walks and plenty of play time with Delta.. Not only were our pets happy but we could relax while we were away. The perfect outcome all around and feel so comfortable that we've booked them again for another three month sit in 2026. We knnow Belle and Delta will be happy to see them again.

5th July - 17th July 2025 (New Orleans)

These two sweeties were an absolute delight to spend time with. Foxy loved her cuddles and wasn't backward in coming forward when wanting attention. Beta wasn't quite as mobile due to age but just had to look at you with those big brown eyes and we knew what he wanted. The only time he was mobile was when looking for food and during thunder storms. He was a great weather forecaster and could hear the skies rumbling before we could.

I cannot recommend Merryn and Ray enough!! From the moment we met, it was clear that they genuinely love and care for animals. They went above and beyond to ensure Beta and Foxy were happy, healthy, and well-cared for while I was away. They kept me updated daily with photos and messages, which gave me so much peace of mind. My pups absolutely adored them—Foxy even seemed a little sad when they left! They followed all instructions perfectly, from feeding schedules to playtime routines, and even managed to keep my elder dog calm during a thunderstorm (a miracle in itself!). It’s such a relief to know I can trust someone as reliable, kind, and professional as Merryn and Ray. If you’re looking for someone to treat your pets like their own, look no further. I’ll definitely be booking them again for their next trip to New Orleans!

18th June until 5th July (Los Angeles)

This was our second sit looking after the beautiful long haired shepard Julieta. We love spending time with her and adore her gentle sweet nature. She's so pretty that we use her photo for the front page of our website. We have already been invited back around the same time again for three weeks in June 2026, which we are so happy about. We enjoyed staying in Emily and Scott's beautiful house in Wilshire Vista, particularly having our own special room at the back of the house overlooking their tranquil garden. It's a lovely neighbourhood to walk Julieta around in.

This was the 2nd time having Merryn and Ray sit for us. They are just THE ABSOLUTE BEST! They took amazing care of our dog and sent lovely photos and updates. They are very organized, excellent communicators and very friendly and loving people. The house was in pristine condition when we arrived home and there was a beautiful one-of-a-kind piece of art made for us. Honestly, if we could have Merryn and Ray sit for us every time we go we would.

Mid March until mid May 2025 (Adelaide South Australia)

This was our second pet sit for Susan, this time for two months. We loved spending time with Gracie and Galway in their home in Adelaide. We enjoyed our twice daily walks with Gracie and cuddles with Galway. They are both so sweet and great company. We would be more than happy to look after them anytime.

I received regular photos & updates & I think the pets had more attention than they normally receive! Their friendly, warm nature made me even more confident that my pets would be very well looked after. They are real animal lovers. August/September 2024 (New Orlean Louisiana)

This is sweet Babycat who we had the pleasure of looking after for 6 glorious weeks in a beautiful historical home in Algiers Point/New Orleans. Babycat is a petite 2 year old rescue cat with the most gorgeous playful and loving personality. We loved spending time with this sweet girl and wouldn't hesitate to sit here anytime. The house was gorgeous, so comfortable and in a great location.

January 2024 - Barwon Heads

This was our second time looking after sweet Lily the elderly Cavalier. We were lucky to be able to spend three precious weeks in Barwon Heads with her as she sadly passed away a few months later. She loved it when we would take her out in our car, especially when we would take her to the local bakery for one of their famous meat pies. . Like all cavaliers she loved her food and had a zest for life right up until the end.
